Job summary

Principal Mineral Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing setting. You will drive daily maintenance activities, improve equipment reliability, and mentor a safety-focused maintenance team.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on maintenance expertise with the ability to solve problems, coach technicians, and keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership or lead technician experience.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and direction to maintenance technicians.
• Prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities based on safety, production needs, and equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coach and develop maintenance technicians through hands-on training and support.
• Partner closely with Production to address equipment issues and improve reliability.
• Maintain accurate work orders, equipment history, and maintenance documentation through the CMMS.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout and other safety requirements.
• Support equipment installations, modifications, continuous improvement projects, and contractor activities.

• CMMS experience.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Experience in a continuous-process or high-speed manufacturing environment.
