Maintenance Lead

Job Description

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Maintenance Lead responsible for meeting daily and weekly maintenance and safety objectives. The Lead will oversee, facilitate, and assist the shift maintenance personnel, assign work and line calls, and perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on equipment and machinery, as well as facilities and infrastructure per schedule and in emergency situations. The role ensures safety regulations, GMP and quality standards are met, and maintains efficient product flow through production processes.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance personnel and coordinate shift activities.
  • Assign work and line calls to team members.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain facilities and infrastructure per schedule, including emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMPs, quality standards, and efficient production flow.
What You Will Need
  • Experience with maintenance software systems and other industrial related software.
  • Strong knowledge about industrial/company equipment and processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, PLC equipment troubleshooting, industrial/food management equipment troubleshooting, electrical drawings, electronics, electrical, control, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical systems, OSHA, etc.
  • Flexible availability, reliable transportation, and ability to travel when needed.
  • Excellent understanding of safety protocols such as GMPs, lock out tag out, and common sense about safety of employees, product and equipment.
  • Ability to follow company policies and understand instructions from coworkers, supervisors and management.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, and use electrical measuring instruments.
  • Must pass pre‑placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
  • Good people skills: communication, patience, approachability, active listening, etc.
What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience in food manufacturing or related fields - preferred.
  • Bi‑lingual English/Spanish preferred.
