Job summary

Hyatt Regency Seattle is seeking a skilled Laundry Mechanic to support our Downtown Seattle properties, including Hyatt at Olive 8 and Grand Hyatt Seattle. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair large commercial laundry equipment and related mechanical systems, with an emphasis on preventative maintenance and reliable shift coverage.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of maintenance experience, trade school training, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in hotel maintenance/engineering.
• Experience repairing large commercial laundry equipment preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on laundry equipment and related mechanical systems.

The Laundry Mechanic will support our multi-property collection of Hyatt Hotels in Downtown Seattle, comprised of Hyatt at Olive 8, Hyatt Regency Seattle, and Grand Hyatt Seattle. Three distinct brands, 3 unique properties within walking distance of each other, your valuable experience! Candidate must have strong knowledge in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repair of large commercial laundry equipment. Strong communication skills. Responsible for shift coverage. Previous engineering/maintenance experience is required, preferably in a hotel environment. This position will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on laundry and other mechanical equipment within our two properties. Minimum 5 years of experience is required, with trade school training and factory training preferred. Good communication skills are necessary for this role. Open availability is preferred. The hourly rate range for this position is $42.75/hour to $43.61/hour. The starting rate for this position is $42.75/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in the position for four years or more with Hyatt, which is currently offered at $43.61/hour.
