Job summary

Interfor Corporation is seeking a motivated student for a hands-on summer internship in Chicago. You will work side-by-side with industry leaders, tackle real problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and gain exposure to equipment reliability and process improvement.

The program runs May 2027 for 4–8 months, with competitive compensation and a temporary living allowance for interns relocating to the area.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree/diploma in forestry, supply chain, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Clear communicator and team player across departments.
• Hands-on, industrial setting experience desired.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Learn how industrial maintenance supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Contribute to projects focused on equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.
