Job summary

Baker College invites you to join as an Intern–Maintenance. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in facility and grounds upkeep, including equipment repairs, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, and safety procedures.

Under guidance, you’ll build communication, computer, and Facilities Management System skills while preparing for a future Maintenance I role.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in maintenance is strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance tasks across equipment, buildings, grounds, and parking lot upkeep.
• Develop skills in basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, and safety handling.
