Job summary

Interfor in Georgetown, South Carolina, is seeking a Maintenance Intern to gain hands-on maintenance experience in a fast-paced sawmill environment. You will learn how industrial maintenance supports safety, reliability, and efficiency while working with seasoned professionals.

Ideal candidates are pursuing relevant degrees, value teamwork, and can communicate clearly. The role is on-site with a summer start and a 4–8 month window, and includes a temporary living allowance for those relocating.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma in forestry, supply chain, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering.
• Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in hands-on work in an industrial setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Maintenance Intern, Georgetown, South Carolina

This is an on-site internship with an anticipated start date in May 2027. Ideally, you’ll be available for a 4-8 month term.

What We Offer

• Salaries starting from $3,700 per month (based on your year in school and previous experience).
• Temporary living allowance for interns moving to the area for the role.
