Job summary

Hydro Extrusion USA, LLC in Cressona, PA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment with a constant focus on reliability. You will troubleshoot complex failures, work with seasoned craftsmen, and document work in our CMMS system while adapting to plant needs.

The role offers a night shift schedule with rotation, competitive hourly pay, and eligibility for profit sharing and company benefits.

Qualifications

• A 2-year Electrical Technical Degree with 1-year practical experience and/or 3-5 years of practical experience in an industrial electrical setting.
• Participation in the Craft Academic Training Center is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment with focus on reliability.
• Diagnose complex equipment failures and identify root causes using manuals, prints and diagnostic tools.
• Safely troubleshoot, operate, and repair complex equipment including PLC systems.
• Document work in a CMMS system and adjust priorities to plant needs.
• Work with experienced craftsmen to develop skills and advance within the role.

Starting Rate of pay: $28.58-$42.00/hr.

Shifts Available and Hours: Night shift, 5:50pm-6am on an EOWEO/ 2-2-3 rotation. (You may be trained on dayshift- but will go to nightshift after training.)

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

Bonus: This position is eligible to participate in the Plant Profit Sharing Program after completing six months of employment. (Quarterly profit sharing)

What you will be doing

• Successful bidders will be accountable for health, safety and environmental issues related to this position.
• Install, maintain, and repair all types of electrical and electronic equipment with a constant focus on improving equipment reliability.
• Work with experienced craftsmen to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for advancement.
• Assist as required with performing/assisting other duties as required by customer demand.
• Diagnoses complex equipment failures, troubleshoots for root cause and develops solutions utilizing a scientific approach with at a minimum the following tools: prints, sketches, manuals, diagnostic equipment, etc... coupled with machinery knowledge and common sense in an efficient and timely manner.
• Safely troubleshoots, operates, and repairs as necessary complex equipment, including Process Logic Controller systems.
• Applies knowledge of electrical control, electronic systems, process controllers, industrial instrumentation, and combustion systems.
• Completes work in a timely manner, often without direct supervision. Ability to organize work for maximum efficiency. Ability to adjust work priorities based on plant needs and business requirements.
• Accurately document work in a CMMS system.

Required Education/Experience

• A 2-year Electrical Technical Degree with 1-year practical experience and/or 3-5 years of practical experience in an industrial electrical (or related) setting is desired.
• Participation in the Craft Academic Training Center is required.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Safety- Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
• Language- Able to communicate orally and in writing effectively with Managers, supervisors, peers and subordinates.
