Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation’s Assembly Plant in Union City, PA, is seeking a full-time, 3rd shift Maintenance Technician for an hourly position. You’ll support TPM, track downtime, and assist with electrical, mechanical, and process-control maintenance.

The role requires problem-solving, project execution, and strong safety practices in a manufacturing setting. Qualifications include a HS diploma (electromechanical preferred), 1–3 years of maintenance experience, and LOTO knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; electromechanical degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Journeyman certification or pursuit of certificate preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of LOTO procedures.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds and stand for at least 8 hours.
• Familiarity with ISO and OSHA procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support TPM practices and partner with all departments to achieve goals.
• Track downtime and equipment issues; diagnose and resolve problems with timely follow-up.
• Assist engineering with integration and upkeep of process controls (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Lead small to moderate projects such as equipment moves, facility upgrades, and new installations.
• Maintain inventory control of maintenance supplies.
• Identify improvement opportunities and prepare proposals including basic cost/benefit analysis.
• Work independently to devise methods to handle unusual conditions; ensure safety compliance.

Position Duties

• General knowledge of TPM practices. This includes supporting positive partnerships with all departments within the enterprise to achieve common goals.
• Work closely with operations to track downtime, major and minor equipment issues, problem solve and follow-up ensuring resolution.
• Assist engineering with the integration and upkeep of process controls, including all types of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
• Execute small-moderately sized projects likely involving equipment moves, facility upgrades and new equipment installations.
• Maintain inventory control of maintenance supplies.
• Identify improvement opportunities and work with others to create proposals including basic cost/benefit analysis.
• Able to work independently toward general results, devise methods and procedures to meet unusual conditions necessitating a high degree of ingenuity, initiative and judgement on day-to-day jobs.
• Ensure compliance to safe practices, OSHA regulations, and environmental agencies.
• Perform structural and sheet metal work, concrete and masonry work, rough carpentry, pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, welding, etc. incidental to operations.
• Maintain buildings which include the repair of windows, doors, roof, floors, stairways, light fixtures, etc.; constructs shop partitions, bins, racks, pallets, shipping crates, etc.
• All employees are required to keep their area clean and maintained to a high degree of quality and safety for themselves and co-workers.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager or Leader.
• Is expected to abide by all plant safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
