Job summary

Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Co is seeking a Maintenance HVAC Technician in Webb City, MO. This full-time role handles installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment to meet safety and efficiency goals.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in manufacturing with strong hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical skills, HVAC experience, and some PLC exposure. AA or related apprenticeship are a plus. Hours are first shift, with potential overtime. Benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment per diagrams, manuals and specs using hand and power tools.
• Observe equipment in operation and listen for trouble signs.
• Dismantle machinery to access/replace defective parts with hoists and tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication and cleaning of parts.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Inspect electrical wiring, switches and controls for safety and proper grounding.
• Disassemble, adjust, align and calibrate gauges and meters.
• Install, dismantle, and move machines, conveyors and equipment.
• Contribute to constructing new facilities and remodeling existing ones using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and painting knowledge.

Salary Range: $23.50 To $30.00 Hourly

Summary/Objective
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Essential Functions

• Repairing and maintaining, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines using hand-tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. (Candidate must be strong in these areas.)
• Observation of machinery in operation and listening to sounds to locate the cause of trouble.
• Dismantling of machinery to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand-tools, and power tools.
• Making periodic inspections of units and performing preventative maintenance, such as lubricating and cleaning parts.
• Repairing or replacing defective parts, using hand-tools and power tools.
• Inspection of electrical wiring, switches and controls for safe operating conditions, grounding and adjustment, following regulations and repair manuals.
• Disassembles, adjusts, aligns and calibrates gages and meters.
• Installs, dismantles, and moves machines, conveyors, and other equipment.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.

Preferred Education and Experience

• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.
• Vacuum furnace, carpentry and 3-phase electrical experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
