Job summary

JBS USA in Green Bay, WI is seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and facilities. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform routine maintenance, and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and keep lines running smoothly.

The role requires 1–2 years of industrial maintenance experience, the ability to read drawings, and strong problem-solving skills. Moderate lifting and shift work may be required in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Basic math skills and measurement (standard and metric).
• Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
• Test mechanical to ensure proper functioning.
• Dismantle machines or devices to access defective parts using hoists and hand or power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, belts, fluids and filters.
• Replace worn or damaged mechanical parts.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls and components, and repair as needed.

Responsibilities: Candidates will have the ability to either work in a setting that will allow them to perform work on electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or welding. Work may involve setting up machinery and equipment, tearing down, and overhauling equipment such as gear boxes.

Job Tasks

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

• Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. Operate hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance.
• Inspect mechanical components to identify problems.
• Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
• Trouble shoot electrical controls and components, and repair as needed.
