Job summary

The Hillman Group in Forest Park, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, trouble-shoot, and repair a variety of equipment supporting manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.

You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, alignments, and testing of motor-control devices and control equipment, while completing daily maintenance reports and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Resolve basic operating problems in a timely manner and report to Supervisor.
• Perform general and preventative maintenance on production systems.
• Conduct mechanical calibrations and alignments during maintenance.

Job Summary

Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.

Essential Job Functions *

• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical items include repairing various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; and assembling and testing motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment.
• Preform general and preventative maintenance multiple production systems in and around the facility.
• Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment.
• Accurately completes daily maintenance reports.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
• Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Education & Experience

Maintenance: Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required.
