Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in Hurricane, WV is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly while maintaining a welcoming appearance for residents.

You will perform minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring and equipment, change HVAC filters, stock supplies, and may assume Maintenance supervisor responsibilities in absence of the supervisor.

A high school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry are preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic wiring, plumbing and carpentry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, and equipment.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
