Job summary

Nucor's Plymouth, UT location is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Western Metals Recycling division. The role involves operating cranes, loaders, and forklifts to move scrap material, load it onto feed conveyors, and support yard logistics.

You must pass safety standards and be willing to work a 2nd shift (3:00 PM–1:00 AM) with potential schedule changes. Candidates should have at least 3 years of heavy equipment experience, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and comfort following written

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of heavy equipment operation in manufacturing settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, with possible schedule changes.
• Follow safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
• Able to understand written and oral instructions and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including cranes and loaders safely.
• Load scrap material, move materials around the yard, and assist with railcars or trucks.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report defects.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety standards.
• Communicate over radio with teammates for coordination.
