Job summary

Position Description

Supports plant maintenance and facility operations by performing general labor, housekeeping, material handling, and maintenance-related tasks to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Performs general labor, facility maintenance, and housekeeping duties, including sweeping, trash removal, material handling, pollution control activities, hazmat handling, and confined space work. Assists with basic maintenance, repairs, equipment inspections, simple fabrication, and preventive maintenance tasks. Maintains facility cleanliness and appearance indoors and outdoors, including entrances, exits, emergency exits, walkways, and grounds. Performs snow and ice removal, touch-up cleaning, and other maintenance and facility support duties as assigned.

Responsible for keeping work areas clean, safe, and orderly, and performs trucking and material transport as required.

Required Education & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as trained and authorized.
• Ability to work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to distinguish colors, read gauges, labels, safety signs, and work instructions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Trade school, technical classes, or maintenance training preferred
