Job summary

DanHil Containers is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production operations by maximizing equipment uptime through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

You will work with machine operators and manufacturing supervisors to diagnose mechanical issues, perform PMs, and document repairs while following safety protocols.

This role requires physical capability, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort with noisy environments in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; operate with a strong safety mindset.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for repairs and upgrades.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and production interruptions.
• Diagnose, modify, lubricate, and operate equipment while maintaining industrial control systems.
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and safe repairs.
• Complete and report all repairs at end of shift, including parts usage documentation.
• Follow plant safety protocols and proper lifting techniques with PPE.
• Ensure facilities and production equipment are maintained in safe condition.
• Perform setup, startup, shutdowns, maintenance repairs, and PMs on production equipment.
• Utilize a wide variety of machine tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support our production operations by ensuring maximum equipment uptime through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role is critical in minimizing downtime, improving efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with machine operators and manufacturing supervisors to quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and production interruptions.
• Diagnose, modify, lubricate, and operate equipment while maintaining industrial control systems.
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and safe repairs.
• Complete and report all repairs at the end of the shift, including required documentation of parts and material usage.
• Follow plant safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure facilities and production equipment are maintained in a safe and efficient working condition.

• Utilize a wide variety of machine tools and equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
• Comfortable working in noisy environments and variable conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day and occasionally lift 50 pounds over shoulder height.
• Ability to safely climb ladders without assistance.
