Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to maintain the nursing center in a clean, safe, and orderly condition with a pleasing appearance for residents and staff.

You will perform minor repairs, service HVAC-related tasks, move and stock supplies, and step into supervisory duties as needed, contributing to a high-quality care environment at our Delaware Seaford location.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment and fire safety systems.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Perform maintenance supervisor duties in the supervisor's absence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
