The Williamsport Home is seeking an individual with a green thumb whose primary responsibility will be maintaining the beauty of our campus.

This position is a part-time, bargaining unit position.

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance

Essential Job Functions

1. Assist with outdoor groundskeeping—mulching, mowing, raking leaves, and general spring clean-up/lawn care.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, assist with room and furniture moves, and support special functions.
3. Respond to emergency and non-routine maintenance situations as needed.
4. Shovel snow, operate snow blowers, and spread anti-ice materials as directed.
5. Maintain a safe working environment across all buildings.
6. Complete all other duties assigned by the Director of Maintenance.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a health-related facility is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Physical Demands

Frequent use of hands, arms, and fingers; standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, carrying, lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 30 lbs. Occasional climbing, crawling, and moving throughout the grounds. Good visual, hearing, and verbal communication skills are required.

Working Conditions

• Wet floors, hard surfaces, dust, fumes, noise.
• Periodic exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Potential for body fluid exposure following universal precautions.
