Job summary

Genesis seeks a Maintenance Assistant to join our nursing center team in Wayne, Pennsylvania. This full-time role supports daily building maintenance, grounds upkeep, and safety compliance, with opportunities for growth in a collaborative care environment.

You will perform routine repairs, manage HVAC filter changes, stock supplies, and cover supervisory duties when needed, contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming facility for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Responsibilities

Full Time

Position is 8:30-5p Monday-Friday

Must have either HVAC, Plumbing and/or Electrical experiance

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
