Seals Eastern Inc is seeking a Mechanic’s Helper to assist in preventive maintenance and support the Mechanic with dismantling, overhauling, and assembling equipment. The role includes basic repairs to fixtures, changing bulbs, and touch-up painting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mechanic with dismantling, overhauling and assembling equipment and machinery
• Perform minor repairs to building fixtures and replace/remount broken parts
• Clean electrical fixtures and replace bulbs; perform touch-up painting as needed
• Complete trainings assigned by the Maintenance supervisor
• Maintain excellent communication with the Maintenance supervisor
• Demonstrate a team player attitude at all times

Job description

The Mechanic’s Helper will be responsible to perform preventive machine maintenance work and assist the Mechanic in performing manual work. In order to effectively fulfill the expectations for this role, the Mechanic’s Helper will regularly obtain and complete work assignments from the Maintenance supervisor and/or the Mechanic. Some the work assignments may include (but are not limited to) assisting the Mechanic with dismantling, overhauling and assembling of equipment and machinery; and perform minor repairs to building fixtures, removes broken parts and replaced, clean electrical fixtures and replace bulbs and performs touch-up painting. The Mechanic’s Helper is expected to successfully complete all trainings assigned by the Maintenance supervisor. It is expected that the Mechanic’s Helper will maintain excellent communication with the Maintenance supervisor. Additionally, the person fulfilling the duties of this position is expected to demonstrate a team player’s attitude at all times.
