Job summary

SEALS EASTERN, INC. is seeking a Mechanic’s Helper in Red Bank, New Jersey to assist the Mechanic and perform preventive maintenance tasks.

You will work under the Maintenance supervisor, dismantle, overhaul, assemble equipment, and support with minor repairs to building fixtures. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 months related experience, be detail-oriented, dependable and a strong team player who communicates effectively and follows instructions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Mechanic with dismantling, overhauling and assembling equipment.
• Perform minor repairs to building fixtures and replace broken parts.
• Clean electrical fixtures and replace bulbs; touch-up painting.
• Communicate effectively with Maintenance supervisor; complete trainings.

Job description

The Mechanic’s Helper will be responsible to perform preventive machine maintenance work and assist the Mechanic in performing manual work. In order to effectively fulfill the expectations for this role, the Mechanic’s Helper will regularly obtain and complete work assignments from the Maintenance supervisor and/or the Mechanic. Some the work assignments may include (but are not limited to) assisting the Mechanic with dismantling, overhauling and assembling of equipment and machinery; and perform minor repairs to building fixtures, removes broken parts and replaced, clean electrical fixtures and replace bulbs and performs touch-up painting. The Mechanic’s Helper is expected to successfully complete all trainings assigned by the Maintenance supervisor. It is expected that the Mechanic’s Helper will maintain excellent communication with the Maintenance supervisor. Additionally, the person fulfilling the duties of this position is expected to demonstrate a team player’s attitude at all times.
