Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly. The role includes minor repairs, changing filters on HVAC equipment, and supporting the supervisor in their absence.

The position emphasizes practical skills in wiring, plumbing and carpentry, with opportunities to grow within a supportive healthcare environment in Daniels, WV.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic wiring knowledge.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Basic carpentry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
