Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Daniels, West Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly with a pleasing appearance. You will perform minor repairs across facilities and may assume supervisory duties when the supervisor is absent.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry. We offer a range of benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.
