Genesis HealthCare in Agawam, MA seeks a per diem Maintenance Helper to keep our nursing center clean, safe, and well-maintained. You will perform minor repairs, assist with equipment upkeep, and help with daily maintenance to ensure a comfortable environment for residents.

The role supports 20-25 hours per week, with the possibility to step in when the supervisor is away. The position includes a benefits package and opportunities for growth within the facilities team.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Mansioni

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.

Responsibilities

SEEKING PER DIEM MAINTENANCE HELPER

20-25 HOURS PER WEEK

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Posted Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.
