Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. in Agawam, MA is seeking a per diem Maintenance Helper to join our nursing center team. The role supports upkeep of facilities and grounds, ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and staff.

You will perform minor repairs, assist with HVAC maintenance, stock supplies, and step in for the Maintenance supervisor when needed. This position offers 20-25 hours per week with competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment and alarms
• Change filters on HVAC equipment
• Carry, lift and stock supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Responsibilities

SEEKING PER DIEM MAINTENANCE HELPER

20-25 HOURS PER WEEK

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Posted Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.
