General Motors is seeking a Maintenance Group Leader to guide a team of hourly workers in troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment. The role enforces UAW agreements and focuses on SPQRCE—Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment—within Global Manufacturing Systems.

Selected candidates will help develop skills while advancing manufacturing processes supporting EV and autonomous vehicle initiatives.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of direct team supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader.
• Experience reading and understanding electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts and weekends to meet production demands.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and respond to the manufacturing daily plan, adjusting operations as needed.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Drive accountability through people and processes, including difficult conversations.
• Conduct checks and tests, and communicate evaluation of results.
• Proactively offer solutions to operational or technical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain productivity and quality in line with standards.
• Implement safety and housekeeping policies and collaborate with others outside the work group.
• Supervise the use of labor, inventory, and machinery.
• Plan actions to complete jobs or projects.
