Job summary

Edgewater Missoula is seeking a Maintenance Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior of the hotel and surrounding property. You will ensure grounds are clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing for guests, including light landscaping, hedges, and plant care.

You will also manage tools and equipment, assist other departments, and respond to guest requests and work orders with courtesy. Snow removal and weatherproofing are part of the role to keep outdoor areas safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a positive attitude and strong communication with guests and team members.
• Prior experience as a groundskeeper or similar role is a plus.
• Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Job description

AMaintenance Groundskeeper primary responsibility is to maintain the exterior of the hotel and the surrounding property as well as be responsible for ensuring that the hotel grounds are clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing for guest. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing thefollowing tasks to the highest standards:

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel grounds at all times
• Conduct light landscaping tasks such as trimming hedges and watering plants
• Responsible for ensuring the working and upkeep of tools and machines used in the maintenance process.
• Assist other members of the team and other departments to provide the greatest productivity for the department and hotel.
• Cleans all trash and cigarette butts from the grounds.
• Respond to guest requests, answer their questions, and address any issues or complaints that they may have had, all politely and courteously to satisfy the guests’ needs and preferences.
• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
• Snow removal and preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing.
