Job summary

Missouri Veterans Commission's Veterans Home is seeking a part-time Maintenance/Grounds Worker to maintain and repair structures, systems, and grounds. You will enjoy outdoor, hands-on work with variety day to day.

Hourly rate is $16.83, and the role involves operating equipment, basic trades across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and ongoing facility upkeep, including grounds maintenance and snow removal as needed.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Tolerance to work in varying temperatures/weather conditions, dust, noise, confined spaces, on ladders and rooftops.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance in areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, concrete and masonry, painting and mechanical repair.
• Perform construction, preventative maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on the facility, machines, vehicles, and equipment.
• Operate powered equipment, such as lawn tractors, forklifts, power tools, motorized hydraulic jacks, or related equipment.
• Participate in the maintenance of the Home’s grounds, including snow removal as needed.

As a Maintenance/Grounds Worker working part-time in our Home, no two days will be the same as you maintain and repair structures, systems, and grounds around the Home.
