Job summary

The Waters is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to support the Environmental Services Manager in maintaining the physical plant and grounds of our community. You will ensure clean, comfortable surroundings and provide courteous service to residents and guests.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years in building maintenance, preferably in hospitality or senior living. Lifting up to 50 pounds and working in varying weather conditions are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance field, preferably in the hospitality industry or a senior living community.
• Experience in carpet cleaning, floor care and painting projects strongly preferred
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to walk, climb stairs, bend and squat
• Able to withstand external weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Assist the housekeeping team
• Assist with grounds and building maintenance projects
• Assist with furniture movement for community event set-up and tear-down
• Assist to ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance work orders are completed on a timely and thorough basis, including, but not limited to, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical repairs, furniture and/or equipment repairs, picking up trash, keeping common areas neat, sweeping walks and curbs, watering lawn, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds, shoveling walks, sanding and salting icy areas
• Perform other related work activities as needed
