Job summary

Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Maintenance/Grounds Manager to oversee a team responsible for maintaining the structures, systems, and grounds of the facility. You will manage repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance in a high-complexity medical facility environment.

The role requires leadership of 5–7 skilled workers, coordination with administration, and ensuring 24/7 support for facility operations. Outdoor work and safety compliance are essential aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in facilities maintenance or construction.
• Valid Driver’s License from MO or residence state.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift/move objects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 5-7 maintenance/grounds staff and oversee operations.
• Oversee HVAC, steam plant, electrical plant operations and grounds activities.
• Develop and direct a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program and long-range plans.
• Prepare and manage an annual department budget for maintenance.
• Coordinate safety programs and compliance with facility policies.
