Maintenance Generalist Madison Ham plant B shift

Responsibilities
- Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production by repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of machinery and industrial equipment used in the pork processing industry, and troubleshooting problems that occur in day-to-day operation of the facility.
- Perform work involving hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC/DC control wiring, welding and pneumatic systems.
- Set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is required.
- Lifting occasional loads from 0-61lbs.
- Communicate effectively with all team members and management to resolve mechanical failures and read manuals to repair equipment safely.
- Climb ladders and work from elevated platforms.
- Stand/walk 12-hour shifts on hard floors.
- Work in all environments of our processing facility such as Harvest, Cut Converting, Rendering and Load-out freezer areas with temperatures ranging from -30 to +90 degrees.
- Maintain the operating conditions of machinery and industrial equipment in the pork processing industry and troubleshoot daily operational problems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience.
- Physical ability to lift occasional loads from 0-61lbs and perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness and ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms.
- Willingness and ability to stand/walk 12-hour shifts on hard floors.
- Willingness and ability to work in all environments of our processing facility, including Harvest, Cut Converting, Rendering and Load-out freezer areas where temperatures range from -30 to +90 degrees.
- For certain skilled positions, pass a HAZMAT and/or Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
- For the following skilled positions: Instruments, Projects, Chillers/Engine Room/Refrigeration, PSM Coordinator; mechanical knowledge/background is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all team members and management.
- Read manuals and repair equipment safely.
- Can provide proof of authorization to work legally within the U.S.
- Pass a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment.
- Compliance with background check requirements where applicable.
Additional Conditions
- Those previously employed with Tyson must observe a 180-day waiting period and a three-time limit.
