Tyson Foods in Madison, NE is seeking a Maintenance Generalist for A & B shifts to keep production lines running and repair industrial equipment. The role covers hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyors, 3-phase wiring, welding and pneumatics, with duties to set up and breakdown line machinery and complete daily documentation.
Applicants must be available for weekends, holidays, overtime, and 12-hour shifts on hard floors, in varying temperatures (-30 to +90).
Must be available to work including weekends, holidays and available for overtime.
Positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and Industrial equipment used in the pork processing industry, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day- to-day operation of the facility. The position requires performing work involving hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC DC control wiring, welding and pneumatic systems. The Team Member will also set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is required. Occasional lifting from 0-61lbs.
For the safety of our team members, for certain skilled positions a HAZMAT and/or PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) will be required to pass to be considered in that department. For the following skilled positions Instruments, Projects, Chillers/Engine Room /Refrigeration, PSM Coordinator; mechanical knowledge/background is preferred.
Applicant must have a minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience
Candidates who have previously been employed with Tyson have a 180-day waiting period and 3-time limit.
