Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production line machinery at our facility. The role requires reading and writing, basic math for machinery, and the ability to lift 70 lbs while on your feet for extended periods.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of recent industrial maintenance experience or related education/technical training. Training will be provided, and internal candidates are considered first.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience within the last 12 months is required.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and stand for up to 12 hours.
• Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Job Details

Must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. Must possess at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience within the last 12 months or education (i.e. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for a visit to the facility. Internal candidates will be considered first, if no internal candidates are selected, then external candidates will be reviewed.

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
