Job summary

Tyson Foods in Sedalia, MO is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain production machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure a safe work environment in compliance with Tyson policies.

You will identify parts and services needed, complete work orders promptly to meet deadlines, and minimize downtime to support production goals. The role involves lifting and working in challenging conditions on the 1st shift.

Job Details:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, keeping machinery running, preventative maintenance, all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must identify all parts, supplies and services required to maintain equipment in assigned area and completes work orders in a timely manner meeting or exceeding pre-established deadlines to reduce downtime and meet production goals. This position requires lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift. Work environment is cold, hot, wet, dusty, and noisy. Must be able to use basic hand and power tools to include drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, multi-meter, and other tools.

Requirements:

• 3 months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
