Security Mutual Life Insurance in Binghamton, NY is seeking a Maintenance, General employee to perform building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, conducting preventive maintenance, operating small power equipment, painting and basic electrical/plumbing tasks, grounds keeping, and moving furniture for events. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience are required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 to 2 years of related experience required.
• Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate special situations such as snow removal, emergency repairs, etc.
• Ability to frequently push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use basic computer functions and email required.
• Ability to be exposed regularly to dust, odors, cleaning solutions, fumes and noise.
• Must comply with OSHA safety and health regulations.
• Must be dependable.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsabilidades

• Use common hand and power tools to complete minor repairs to building and equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance including drain cleaning, filter replacement, etc., to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
• Operate smaller power equipment such as tractors, snow blowers, power brooms, lawn mowers, and power washers.
• Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures; fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, sheds and other wooden structures.
• Complete minor electrical and plumbing work.
• Assist with installation of basic equipment to improve energy or operational efficiency; repair and replace defective parts as necessary using hand and power tools.
• Provide grounds keeping services, landscaping, de-icing and snow removal.
• Perform general cleaning of buildings and properties; handle company recycling.
• Assemble, disassemble and move furniture and workstations for events, meetings and relocations.
• Operate the Company Vehicle for business purposes as directed by management.
• Complete employee and tenant requests as assigned by management or as required under lease terms.
