Responsibilities

• Use common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to complete minor repairs to building and equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance including drain cleaning and filter replacement.
• Operate power equipment like tractors, snow blowers, mowers, and power washers.
• Paint/repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork; fabricate wooden structures.
• Complete minor electrical and plumbing work.
• Assist installation of basic equipment to improve efficiency.
• Repair/replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Provide grounds keeping services, landscaping, de-icing and snow removal.
• General cleaning and recycling.
• Assemble, disassemble and move furniture and workstations for events.
• Operate the Company Vehicle for business purposes as directed by management.
• Complete employee and tenant requests as assigned by management.

Salary Range: $19.88 To $21.00 Hourly

As a Maintenance, General employee, you will be responsible for performing building and grounds maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs to building and equipment.

The level of the position will be determined by relevant skills, experience and qualifications.

This position is located in the Binghamton Home Office.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Use common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to complete minor repairs to building and equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance including but not limited to drain cleaning, filter replacement, etc. to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
• Operate larger power equipment such as small ride-on tractors, snow blowers, power brooms, lawn mowers, walk behind sweepers, power washers, etc.
• Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures. Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, sheds, outbuildings and other wooden structures.
• Complete minor electrical and plumbing work.
• Assist with installation of basic equipment to improve energy or operational efficiency of commercial buildings. Repair and replace defective equipment parts as necessary, using hand tools and power tools.
• Provide grounds keeping services, landscaping, de-icing and snow removal.
• Perform general cleaning of buildings and properties. Handle company recycling.
• Assemble, disassemble and move furniture and workstations for events, meetings and re-locations.
• Operate the Company Vehicle for business purposes as directed by management.
• Complete employee and tenant requests as assigned by management or as required under lease terms.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1 to 2 years of related experience required.
• Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate for special situations such as snow removal, emergency repairs, etc.
• Ability to frequently push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use basic computer functions and email required.
• Ability to be exposed regularly to dust, odors, cleaning solutions, fumes and noise.
• Must comply with OSHA safety and health regulations.
• Must be dependable.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Pay Range:$19.88 to $21.00 hourly
