Job summary

Buckeye Commons Care & Rehabilitation in Kent, OH is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant/Floor Technician to keep our facility clean and safe for residents and staff. You will perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, waxing, stripping, and buffing to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

This role supports the upkeep of common areas, restocking supplies, and assisting with laundry, housekeeping, and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior SNF/LTC experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and buff floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Restock supplies and materials as needed.
• Perform custodial tasks such as emptying trash and recycling and restocking paper products.
• Assist with laundry, housekeeping and maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Restocking supplies and materials as needed
• Performing custodial tasks, such as emptying trash and recycling bins, and restocking paper products
• Assisting with other tasks as needed, such as laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance
• Working closely with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience with a Skilled Nursing Facility, or Long-Term Care Facility preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
