Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College degree preferred.
• 2+ years of operations, maintenance, and/or engineering experience in a paper manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Demonstrates a successful leadership ability in a manufacturing environment, including safety leadership.
• Must have a high level of integrity, motivation, and leadership to develop and lead others.
• Excellent skills in organizing, planning, priority setting, and time management, with proven ability to adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
• Ability to effectively facilitate problem solving or conflict resolution processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports and leads safety efforts at Bogalusa Mill to maintain an injury-free environment.
• Completes the First Line Leader Onboarding/Proficiency Curriculum.
• Coordinates and leads efforts to support high performance work teams.
• Leads processes to maximize team engagement and results.
• Manages daily shift operations with focus on continuous improvement.
• Provides coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members.
• Communicates with team and mill leadership on safety, quality, cost, and production issues.
• Applies facility policies and standards and motivates crew toward goals.
