Job summary

International Paper is seeking a First Line Leader – Pulp in Mansfield, LA to lead a crew of ~10 on pulp & caustic processes. You will drive safety, reliability and productivity, coordinating resources to meet targets and budget, while coaching and developing team members.

Salary ranges from $82,500 to $110,000 per year. Requires at least 3 years manufacturing experience or a technical degree; pulp experience preferred. Benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a shift or small crew in a pulp mill or similar process environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance and quality.
• Ability to train, coach and develop team members.
• Experience in coordinating resources to maintain mill operations and productivity.
• Knowledge of SAP and manufacturing work systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to ensure safety, productivity and budget adherence.
• Lead safety programs, conduct meetings, and enforce safety rules.
• Conduct 1:1 coaching and performance feedback with crew.
• Manage shift schedule, overtime controls, and training activities.
• Coordinate with other departments and mill management; ensure operator rounds and inspections.
• Assist in onboarding and development of new FLLs; support capital projects.
