Job summary

R+L Carriers in Piedmont, SC seeks a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain safety and functionality of facilities. You will perform electrical, plumbing, welding, and carpentry tasks with hands-on expertise, reading blueprints and using standard tools. Valid driver’s license required and ability to work independently.

Role offers Monday–Friday, first shift, full-time, with benefits and vacation after 90 days. Company-managed resorts are part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, welding (steel), and carpentry.
• Strong welding skills (MIG/Stick) for structural and equipment repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across facilities (offices, dock/warehouse, yard).
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems (lighting, circuits, outlets).
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems (water lines, fixtures, drains).
• Weld and fabricate steel components and equipment (MIG and Stick welding).
• Conduct general carpentry work (framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry).
• Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards.
• Inspect equipment and facilities regularly and respond to maintenance requests.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Assist in emergency repairs and snow/ice removal when necessary.
• Collaborate with operations to support shop and yard functions.

R+LCarriers is seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician at our Piedmont, SCService Center. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, welding (steel), and carpentry trades. The candidate must also be proficient in steel welding for structural and equipment repairs. Company service vehicle(cart) and large tools/equipment (ladders, welder, drills, saws, and cutting torches) provided.

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and building codes
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty and work in varying weather conditions
