Job summary

Hexcel Corporation in Kent, WA is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Intern to support our maintenance team at the Kent site. The role offers an opportunity to build a database for the maintenance program, create work instructions, map equipment, and track preventative maintenance.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, an interest in aerospace or facilities management, and strong computer skills including Excel and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. Enrollment in a related degree program at an accredited college or university preferred.
• Passionate about aerospace, engineering or facilities management. Specific interest in maintenance and facilities management is a plus.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD. Proficiency in Excel is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently or with a team. Ability to learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative.
• Good organizational skills for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules. Attention to detail for tasks such as finding equipment serial numbers.
• Strong communication skills to interact with maintenance and facilities staff.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

Hexcel is currently seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Intern for our Kent, WA, USA location.

Summary pay range: $21 - 24 hourly rate.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
