Job summary

Teknor Apex is seeking a Maintenance Facilities Associate for the 1st shift at our Brownsville, TN plant. You will perform house/groundskeeping functions, maintain a clean and safe environment, and assist in training entry-level team members while working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, washing, restrooms, operating floor equipment, handling chemicals safely, and supporting management with additional tasks as directed; must be physically capable

Qualifications

• Previous custodial and facilities work experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 30 lbs above head at least 4 times during an 8-hour shift.
• Able to climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean, sanitary, and healthy environment for the public and employees.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, wash windows, dust furniture, scrub tiles, sanitize restroom facilities, pick up debris, and replenish paper and soap dispensers.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working order.
• Safely use custodial supplies, equipment, and machines.
• Transport and store chemicals and waste in proper containers and locations.
• Operate floor scrubber, scraper, pressure washer, and/or lift truck.
• Other functions as directed by supervisor and/or management.
• Work safely and wear PPE as needed.
