Job summary

Trinseo is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance department by monitoring equipment, recommending improvements, and driving projects to optimize plant performance.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot independently, define project scope, manage vendors, and travel as needed. This role reports to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager and requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and process troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a chemical or plastics manufacturing environment.
• Track record of solving problems improving on‑stream time and reducing costs.
• Practical experience using CMMS MVP One.
• Strong process troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams.
• Upgrade obsolete equipment and develop cost estimates for capital projects.
• Develop specifications, CAD drawings, and vendor proposals for new equipment.
• Monitor maintenance expenses and identify ways to reduce costs.
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of failures.
• Provide backup to maintenance supervisor and on‑call support.
