Job summary

The Dillard House, a Farm Resort, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and hotel facilities. The role covers HVAC work, life safety systems, and preventative maintenance programs to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Based in Rabun County, GA, the engineer will respond to guest and housekeeping requests, document work, and coordinate with teams to keep aging infrastructure in prime condition.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Experience in HVAC maintenance and life safety system upkeep.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and preventative maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures, including electrical systems and plumbing.
• Conduct HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on Life Safety Systems and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Maintain and repair hotel aesthetics (painting, furniture maintenance, etc.).
• Maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program, ensuring quarterly inspections and proper documentation.
• Inspect and troubleshoot machinery, listening for unusual sounds to diagnose issues.
• Perform welding, installation of pipe systems, and repairs of hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests from housekeeping and guest requests.
• Perform regular checks of emergency lighting, smoke detectors, and other safety equipment.
• Maintain a daily maintenance log and ensure all work is documented.
