Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Facilities Engineer or Maintenance Manager in California to lead hands-on maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. You will diagnose complex equipment failures, support production equipment installation, and oversee preventive maintenance programs while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance. PLC/HMI experience and CAD proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on maintenance and/or facilities engineering experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Experience with PLC/HMI troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Proficiency with CAD software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment failures, including emergency breakdowns.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and modification of production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform electrical and controls troubleshooting (PLC/HMI) as needed.
• Assist with fabrication, equipment modifications, and minor engineering changes.
• Oversee maintenance programs including preventive maintenance, inspections, and root cause analysis.
• Plan and execute capital and non-capital projects including scope, cost estimation, and timelines.
• Provide engineering support including basic CAD drawings, specifications, and modifications.
• Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure that all equipment and systems are operating efficiently and safely.
