Job summary

Keystone Cement Company in Bath, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide engineering support to the plant's Maintenance function. You will plan and execute capital investment projects, ensuring reliability and efficiency while coordinating process improvements across plant equipment.

The role requires hands-on project leadership, strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in mechanical, civil, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience in heavy industry.
• Experience and knowledge in cement facilities and equipment preferred.
• Basic and theoretical knowledge of plant and/or project engineering.
• Effective communications skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Team-oriented collaboration.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• CAD experience preferred.
• Ability to inspect plant properties physically and wear MSHA safety equipment when required.
• Ability to work in dusty, noisy, high temperature environments and in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit knowledge of and ensure compliance with all safety regulations; participate in safety training and inspections.
• Responsible for engineering projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans; coordinate design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards; review drawings, specs, and technical documents; evaluate contractors and vendors.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate cross-functional teams; manage change orders and maintain documentation.
• Verify deliverables meet operational requirements; support continuous improvement and capital projects.
• Assist with after-hours call coverage as scheduled.
• Conduct engineering studies related to daily operations and capital projects, including drawings and vendor communications.
