Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to handle preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC and mechanical systems, and repair equipment across the property. The role requires 3–5 years in building maintenance or engineering, with strong knowledge of multi-trade trades and blueprints.

The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and hold legal work authorization in the United States.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in building maintenance or engineering, hospitality or similar environment
• Strong multi-trade technical expertise (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical systems)
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment and system failures independently
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Trade school certification or technical training (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related field)
• Professional certifications in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems preferred
• Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance management systems
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours
• Must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

• Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
• Repair equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers, and associated gear across the building.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose moderate equipment issues including motors, switches, pumps, and basic control systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and document work performed.
• Assist with installations and upgrades of building systems and equipment.
• Read and follow basic blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests in rooms and public areas.
• Assist in emergencies such as equipment failures or power interruptions.
• Conduct routine inspections and report deficiencies to senior staff.
• Execute assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Support energy conservation through monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Assist contractors during maintenance or renovation projects.
• Follow safety procedures and building codes.
• Communicate status with team members and supervisors regarding job status.
