Job summary

The Nugget in Sparks, NV seeks a Maintenance Technician who can independently troubleshoot a wide range of facility issues and may lead projects or assist the shift manager to maintain safe, reliable operations. Responsibilities include initiating work orders, diagnosing electrical, plumbing and HVACR problems, implementing preventive maintenance, documenting inspections, and responding to emergencies.

Requirements: high school diploma, CPO and EPA certifications, two journeyman licenses, and 5+

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; CPO and EPA certifications required.
• Two Nevada State or nationally recognized journeyman certifications (e.g., plumber, electrician) required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial maintenance experience; knowledge of BMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and respond to work orders; document work performed.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical problems on the property.
• Formulate, initiate, and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Respond to emergencies and critical incidents; take appropriate action.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust/replace components as needed.
• Research parts and materials and recommend replacements.
• Perform and document annual inspections on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair complex equipment and components.
• Maintain pool facilities and document chemical levels.
• Address guest complaints in a timely, professional manner.
