Job summary

Horseshoe Casino is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician focused on HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing systems. You will monitor, repair and optimize a wide range of restaurant and casino equipment to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Strong troubleshooting, piping, ductwork and control installations are essential for keeping the facility running smoothly. You will collaborate with a team to service ice makers, coolers, freezers and kitchen appliances while also handling parts

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, or related fields.
• Licenses or certifications in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics.
• Welding of other electrical, structural, or building disciplines is highly desired.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, service and repair ice makers, walk-in coolers, freezers, beer chillers, and refrigerators.
• Maintain restaurant equipment including fryers, dishwashers, stoves, mixers and buffet line equipment.
• Adjust temperature controls and thermostats to keep guests comfortable.
• Order, receive, stock parts and maintain inventory.
• Design and install refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Design and install ducting, grills and controls for changes/new additions.
• Maintain pressure washer and air filters.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring, servicing and repairing all ice makers, walk-in coolers, freezers, beer chillers, yogurt machine and all refrigerators.
• Maintains working conditions of restaurant equipment including fryers, dishwashers, stoves, food mixers and buffet line equipment.
• Monitors temperature controls in Casino and Theater and makes adjustments to tabs and thermostats on heating and air conditioning equipment to keep guest comfortable.
• Responsible for ordering parts, receiving and stocking parts and maintaining parts inventory.
• Designs and installs refrigeration and heating and air conditioning equipment.
• Designs and installs ducting, grills, controls for changes and new additions to heating and air conditioning systems.
• Maintains Hotsy Pressure washer and Biocinematic Electronic air filters.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years' experience in at least two of the following areas: heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing or telephone systems.
• Licenses or certifications in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics,
• Welding of other electrical, structural, or building discipline is highly desired and preferred.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
• Must be capable of maneuvering for prolonged periods of time, both inside and outside, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
• Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools such as drills, electric saws, hammers, sewer snakes, etc....
• Respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, jump and carry heavy loads.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
• Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in all situations.
• Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation and repair procedures of the property mechanical systems, equipment and life safety system.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
