Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Engineer I to support the maintenance and operational efficiency of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. You will work on-site in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager and executing maintenance activities that uphold safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM).
• 1-3 years of experience in facilities or equipment maintenance engineering.
• Knowledge of building systems, manufacturing equipment, and maintenance best practices.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and safety/regulatory compliance.
• US export control compliance requires US citizen, permanent resident, or protected status.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment promptly to minimize downtime and maintain safety.
• Coordinate work with departments and external contractors as required.
• Support upgrades and modifications; input to capital projects within the facility.
• Oversee contractors, manage requisitions, POs, and vendor quotes for cost-effective procurement.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance in maintenance activities.
• Coordinate winter snow removal and building prep at shift start.
• Support shutdowns and tie-ins to building systems; respond to off-hours alarms.
• Mentor junior technicians and ensure adherence to codes and safety regulations.
