Altria Client Services LLC in Chester, VA (Park 500) seeks a Maintenance Engineer to improve equipment reliability and plant performance through mechanical, utilities, and infrastructure support. You will lead root cause investigations, drive CI initiatives, and coach maintenance technicians across Production, Maintenance, Reliability, and Utilities teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 3+ years proven experience in maintenance and engineering, preferably in a process manufacturing facility.
• Strong technical problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops Maintenance Procedure Use Policy: performs technical reviews, serves as a technical resource, creates and reviews procedures and checklists, and initiates Change Management.
• Serves as SME in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
• Delivers maintenance input into project activities and acts as maintenance representative for projects.
• Plan and execute projects and support maintenance utilizing internal union labor and external resources.
• Support utility equipment including boilers, chillers, air-washers, air compressors, fire systems, HVAC systems, steam, and related systems.
• Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to develop work scopes and drive solutions.
• Delivers input to the Reliability Team and supports reliability initiatives to minimize failures.
• Performs regular field assessments of equipment.
• Support asset criticality assessments and maintenance strategy development.
